How can I share my pictures with everyone?

One day you are sitting in the park with your children, enjoying a sunny day. Then all of the sudden a butterfly flies right down on your child's head. You want to capture this moment forever, so you grab your camera and start to take pictures. Now that you are home, you want to share the picture with a bunch of people that are your friends, family, and maybe even minor acquaintances. But how can you do this? Sure, you can share a photo or two by sending it through email but there has to be a faster way? There is. You can use a file or image hosting service and pass the link to anyone that you would like to see the picture. This means even if they are on your email list, facebook friends, Myspace pal, or any other social media service that you may be part of. We will go over how easy it is for you to do this. After that, you can make up your mind on which service you would like to use.

There are plenty of services out there that allow you to do this. Some of the services are free, while others are premium. Some of the services are run by big companies, while others are owned by one man operations. Which one you choose is up to you. If you think that you are going to make this a regular habit and want to control the level of access that someone might have with the picture, then you might want to think about a premium service. If this is just one picture that you want to show off, then go with a free image host.

Flickr

Some of the upload services out there specialize in images. The leading service is Flickr. But there are a lot of smaller web sites that specialize in pictures as well. They may even provide a unique interface when trying to show your pictures on certain social media web sites. For example, the web site Twitpic, and its close integration with the social media site Twitter. They give you a perfect interface that allows you to share pictures on Twitter quick and easily. They also give you stats and other features that may help in deciding how popular the picture that you uploaded was.

Even though you are dealing with a photo, it does not mean that you have to upload it to a photo host specific site. You can place the photo on a hundred different free file hosting sites as well. After all, a photo is still just a normal file. You can still give people the opportunity to take a look at your picture using a normal file hosting service. Sites such as these allow you to host other files besides pictures as well. If you want to share other files along with the photo you took, while at the same time keeping them all in one place, you might want to think about a general hosting web site.

Sharing a photo is something everybody likes to do. Now thanks to the magic of the modern day internet, you have plenty of options that will allow you to do this.
